An incredible culinary journey across the Sicilian roots of this city. Chef Guarneri has created a marvellous menu with top quality ingredients and impeccable execution. Service and wine list are excellent. The location is a century old building in Ortigia. We had their famous spaghetti alle sirene and tuna tagliata. Desserts are also unmissable.

This restaurant was a nice surprise. We made a reservation on the day and were not disappointed! The atmosphere was so pleasant and the food was delicious. We went for the historic tasting menu, we were sad not to be able to do the wine pairing with it as we were traveling that day but will definitely come for it next time. The service was friendly and helpful and even though they didn’t offer orange wine by the glass on the menu they did provide. Grazie! The two dishes that were the highlight for us were the prawn and almond cream and the prawn sea urchin rolls! The only disappointment was the tuna as we were expecting more compared to the rest of the food. Also a minor thing that affected us a little bit was the fact that at the end they didn’t ask how our experience was. I know that Italians are proud and confident in their food but some feedback is always helpful to keep things top notch :)

Probably the most disappointing dinner we had in Siracusa, beef cheeks were chewy with lots of rubbery bits, in the blandest brown sauce ever. The stuffed pasta tasted like canned tuna. Other things were okay but not at Michelin level. The wine they recommended had so much sediment that we couldn’t drink the last 20% of the bottle. The waiter even acknowledged that the beef was bad but we still had to pay for it. Bad food with unapologetic service!!
